Our first night’s lodging, is the Drury Inn, Grand Rapids, MI. Departing Grand Rapids on the 25th, we’ll travel to Silver Lake, MI for an exciting dune scooter ride at Mac Wood’s Dune Ride on the shores of Lake Michigan. Continuing on us 31, we’ll enjoy a scenic drive through Manistee, Traverse City, Charlevoix and Petoskey, arriving at Mackinac Island in the afternoon. Mackinac Island is the truly "all natural" theme park of America. Limited to transportation of horse and buggy, bicycle or foot, surrounded by water, it has escaped the vast changes of time. Its real Victorian image is preserved and enhanced by a small population of 500 permanent residents and scores of summer residents, maintaining bluff cottages in original state. We’ll spend three nights at the Lake View Hotel on Mackinac Island. Lake View Hotel, in the heart of the historic village, is the oldest continuously operated hotel on Mackinac Island, capturing much of the past with its Victorian-style atmosphere and nineteenth-century vernacular resort architecture. Built by Reuben Chapman in 1858, the hotel was originally known as Lake View. During our stay, we’ll enjoy a carriage tour with Mackinac Island Carriage Tours, the oldest and largest horse and buggy livery in the world and the official tour of Mackinac State Park. Enjoy the narrated tour through downtown to Surrey Hills, where you will disembark the two-horse hitch carriage and have just a few minutes to enjoy the carriage museum and/or gifts shops while waiting to make the transfer to a three-hitch carriage (you’ll need one more horsepower). Then you are off to Arch Rock and a ride through the Boreal Forest. So, climb aboard, sit back and relax and just enjoy the ride. After your scenic, carriage tour ride, you will be dropped off at the Grand Hotel, where you will enjoy their fabulous luncheon. You will then have free time to explore the Grand Hotel, as well as the grounds and gardens and continue to enjoy the island. 

After leaving Mackinac Island, we’ll travel to the German village of Frankenmuth, MI. We’ll enjoy a visit Bronner’s, the world’s largest Christmas Store. Also included is luncheon at the Bavarian Inn. We will stay at the Drury Inn in Frankenmuth that night.  Leaving Frankenmuth, we will travel on to Carmel, IN where we spend the night at the Drury Plaza.  We will enjoy dinner and the ‘Million Dollar Quartet’ at the Beef and Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis IN.

This tour includes 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners, Deluxe Motorcoach Transportation, lodging and activities mentioned. Reservations – RESERVATIONS SHOULD BE MADE THROUGH OUR OFFICE BY CALLING 217-228-8785 OR (TOLL FREE) 1-800-805-8766. If you are traveling with someone (whether it be a day trip or multiple day trip), please tell us at the time of your reservation, so we will be able to seat you together on the bus and at the event.

Payments – PAYMENTS SHOULD BE SENT TO GOODWIN TOURS, 819 OHIO ST, QUINCY, IL 62301. After reservations are made we will send a registration form, which should be completed and returned with your deposit within 14 days to confirm your registration.

Multiple Day Trips – Prices are per person, double occupancy. The single, triple, or quad price is available upon request. After reservations are made, we will send a registration form, which should be completed and returned with your deposit within 14 days to confirm your reservation. Please be sure to sign the form. On most tours, the balance is due no later than 60 days prior to departure. For tours that include airline tickets and/or cruise fares, we will inform you of the deposit due, the balance due date, and cancellation deadline at the time of registration. On multiple day tours, we rotate seats daily. Luggage handling is included on most overnight trips 2 nights or longer for one large bag per person. An itinerary, luggage tags, etc. will be mailed to you prior to departure.

Day Trips – Prices are per person. Full payment is due 60 days before departure. For some day trips, payment may be required sooner than 60 days out. Seating on the motorcoach and at events is based on date of receipt of payment. Seat tags will be put up on the motorcoach in payment order from front to back.

Motorcoaches – Motorcoaches are scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure with immediate boarding. All motorcoaches are strictly Non-Smoking. All motorcoaches are bathroom-equipped; however, we make stops often and ask that passengers use the facilities at these break stops.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Day Trips: There will be no refund for cancellations made within 60 days prior to departure, unless we have a wait list and are able to resell your seat. If that occurs, there will be a $20 administrative fee.

Multiple Day Trips: The following CANCELLATION FEES will apply: 61 days or more prior to departure: full refund less any non-refundable expenses; 60 days or less prior to departure: NO REFUND -- We recommend travel insurance. A Schedule of Insurance Coverage will be sent with each registration form. If you wish to purchase travel insurance, please call our office (not Travelex Insurance Services). Also, be sure to check your intention to purchase or not to purchase insurance and sign in the insurance section of the registration. This insurance information must be completely filled out and signed to process your registration.
